FD130 and FD150 Guides

  • Phone Line Not Connected

    If running on IP:
    Unplug the power cord.
    Plug it back in.
    Run test transaction.
    Also test to ensure their internet is working

    VXN58 Error
    This will show if the phone line isn't connected

    VXN53 Error
    This will show if the phone line isn't connected

    VXN52 Error
    Internet not connecting

    Set Time/Date
    Press Cancel
    Touch the wrench icon
    Touch [Date/Time]
    Key in new Date
    Press [Enter]
    Enter new date
    MMDDYYYY and time HHMMSS (use military time).
    (Press Clear to backspace.)
    Press Cancel to exit.

    Tip Adjust
    Select Credit --> Tip --> Trans # (found on receipt) --> edit --> enter tip amount --> enter

    Process Ticket Only
    1. Start on the sale/refund/void screen, and press other
    2. Select More
    3. Force
    4. Enter Amount
    5. Enter card number or insert card if present
    6. Exp date
    7. Enter auth code previously obtained
    8. Transmitting / Receipt prints when complete

    Close Batch
    1. Credit
    2. More
    3. Close

    Wifi Setup
    1. Select the Orange tool key.
    2. Wifi
    3. PW: Last four of Nash MID
    4. Sec: Select Option
    5. Key =Wifif password 6.SSID= Network Name

  • Sale Option 1
    1. Press Sale
    2. Enter the amount
    3. If prompted, enter the tip amount or press the red [X] key to skip
    4. Insert Chip card, tap Ctls card/device, swipe magnetic card, or key account number
    5. If prompted, select Credit or Debit
    6. If prompted, enter Cash back amount
    7. If prompted, instruct the customer to entire his/her PIN on the PIN pad
    *The terminal goes online and completes the transaction
    *If approved, Receipt(s) print
    *Chip card: remove when prompted

    Sale Option 2
    1. Insert Chip card or swipe Magnetic Stripe
    2. Enter the amount
    3. If prompted, enter the tip amount or press the red [X] key to skip
    4. If prompted, select Credit or Debit
    5. If prompted, enter Cash back amount
    6. If prompted, instruct the customer to entire his/her PIN on the PIN pad
    *The terminal goes online and completes the transaction
    *If approved, Receipt(s) print
    *Chip card: remove when prompted

    Credit Refund
    1. Press Other
    2. Select Refund
    3. Enter the amount
    4. Input the card amount
    5. If prompted, select Credit
    *The terminal completes the refund
    *Refund receipt prints

    Void Transaction
    1. Press Other
    2. Select Void
    3. Enter the SEQ# from the receipt
    4. Confirm the transaction by selecting OK
    *The terminal performs a reversal
    *The terminal prints a void receipt

    Reprint Receipt
    1. Press Other
    2. Select Reprint
    3. Enter a transaction SEQ# or press Enter to reprint the last transaction
    *The terminal re-prints the receipt

    Print Reports
    1. Press Other
    2. Select Report
    3. Select Print Reports
    4. Select the desired report type to print
    *Report prints
    5. Press the red [X] key or the back button to return to the start screen

    Batch Settle
    1. Press Other
    2. Select Close Batch
    3. Review the screen, then select OK to confirm totals
    *The device connects to the host and completes the batch settlement process

  • * Make sure you have the DLID and Reset Key before you start downloading

    Full Download

    1. On the main screen hold down the green button and press the number 4

    2. Enter the password: 990712

    3. Click Exit to OS

    4. Enter the password: 990712

    5. Select 5 for Setup

    6. Enter the password: 990712

    7. Select 6 for Erase

    8. Select 1 for Run

    9. At this point the machine will reboot

    10. Press 1 for Download

    11. Press 1 for Port

    12. Select IP (if connecting via ethernet) or Dial (if connecting via phone line)

    13. The IP Address should read “gdsprod.firstdata.com” and Number should be already filled in. Press enter

    14. Press 4 for Save

    15. Press 3 for File

    16. In the TID box, put in the download ID (DLID)

    17. Enter 0 for the APN

    18. F Name = GT3

    19. Press 4 for run

    20. The download will process at this point, and when finished will say “Done” or “Transmission Complete”.

    21. Press the red X key 3X

    22. Enter the password: 990712

    23. Click Use GDS > Perform Download > Download > Select IP or Dial > Full > Enter Reset Key > Enter DLID > Package 1> On URL and Port screen, Press Green Key and it will go through the download.

    24. Run a Test Sale to ensure the download is successful. Void the Test Sale.

    Partial Download

    1. On the sale /other screen select the wrench icon

    2. Select Settings

    3. Select Credit

    4. Select Parameters

    5. Select Param Init

    6. Select Connection type

    7. Press Enter on Reset Key

    Clear Memory [If existing terminal]

    ** Make sure there are no open batches

    1. On the main screen, hold down the green button and press the number 4

    2. Enter the password: 990712

    3. Select Exit to OS

    4. Enter the password: 990712

    5. Press Setup

    6. Enter the password: 990712

    7. Press Erase

    8. Select 1 for Run

  • 1. Select Other.

    2. Select Enter Tips.

    3. The terminal will prompt you to enter the transaction sequence number from the receipt.

    4. Find sequence number on the receipt and enter into terminal.

    5. Press the green enter key.

    6. The terminal screen will show the transaction you are looking for.

    7. If the transaction is correct, press Edit Tip.

    8. Enter the tip amount.

    9. Press green enter button.

    10. The terminal will process the tip amount.

  • 1. Select Other on the main screen.

    2. Select Close Batch.

    3. The terminal will process the batch.

    4. The terminal will print out a receipt to confirm your settlement.

    5. The batch is now closed.

  • *Make sure the terminal is connected to an ethernet cord. Once you connect to WIFI you can disconnect from the ethernet cord.

    1. Select wrench and hammer icon

    2. Choose “WiFi”

    3. Choose “Security”

    4. Enter password: 990712 or 766130 (Omaha platform) or Last 4 of Nashville Alt MID (North platform) - contact Blueswipe for the Alt MID if needed

    5. There will be three fields that need to be filled out:

    SECURITY TYPE: WiFi network security type. It will be either WPA2-AES, WPA1-TKIP, or WPA1-AES. The most common will be WPA-2-AES. That’s the best option to start with.

    NETWORK KEY: Enter in the network key, which is the network password. To type letters, press the alpha key as many times as where the letter is placed on a number key followed by that number. EX: For the letter L, press alpha three (3) times, followed by 5. The FD130 is case sensitive. To switch between cases, hold down the green key and press the alpha key at the same time.

    SSID: Enter in the SSID, which is the network name.

    6. Press enter and terminal will restart. If unable to connect over WiFi, continue to try different network security types until it works (WPA2-AES, WPA1-TKIP, etc). Make sure IP is enabled. If IP is not enabled, the WiFi will fail.

    Please note that both the SSID and network key are case sensitive. To switch between cases, hold down the green key and while holding it down, press the alpha key.

    How to get to special characters:

    ● & = Press the alpha key four (4) times, then the number four (4)

    ● % = Press the alpha key three (3) times, then the number three (3)

    ● ! = Press the alpha key once (1) time, then the number one (1)

    ● _ = Press alpha key four (4) times, then the number five (5)

    ● ? = Press the alpha key four (4) times, then the number eight (8)

    ● To enter a space, select alpha and then the number 1 (1)

    If either the SSID or network key contains any special character other than the ones above, then the merchant can plug a USB keyboard into the FD130 or use a bluetooth dongle to connect to any external keyboard.

  • 1. Select Sale.

    2. Enter in the sale amount.

    3. Press green enter key.

    4. If applicable, enter in tip amount.

    5. Press green enter key.

    6. The terminal will prompt you to present payment.

    7. Take the Apple or Android device and place over the terminal screen.

    8. The terminal will process the payment.

    9. A receipt will print.

    10. To print a customer copy, select Yes.

  • 1. Select Sale.

    2. Enter in sale amount.

    3. Press green enter key.

    4. If applicable, enter tip amount.

    5. Press green enter key.

    6. The terminal will prompt you to present payment.

    7. Insert the chip card into the chip reader located at the bottom of the terminal.

    8. The terminal will process the chip card.

    9. A receipt will print.

    10. To print a customer copy, select Yes.

  • 1. Locate the paper bay at the top of the terminal.

    2. Open up the paper bay by pulling the black latch up.

    3. Grab your new roll of paper.

    4. Place paper roll into the paper bay ensuring shiny side up and facing away from the terminal screen.

    5. Make sure excess paper hangs outside of the paper bay.

    6. Close the paper bay.

    7. Remove any excess paper.

  • 1. Turn over the terminal.

    2. Pull the latch in the middle of the terminal to release plastic backing.

    3. If you have a pin-pad, install that first.

    4. Take the pin-pad’s USB cord and insert into the port labeled with a black USB symbol.

    5. Next, plug in the communication type (phone line or ethernet).

    6. If you’re using ethernet, plug the ethernet cord into the port labeled with three yellow boxes.

    7. If you’re using a phone line, plug the phone line into the port labeled with a blue phone.

    8. Finally, plug the black power cord into the port in the side located in the middle of the terminal.

    9. The terminal will activate. You’ll know it’s on when the terminal screen says Loading.

  • 1. On the main screen, select Other.

    2. Select Report.

    3. Select Batch Totals.

    4. Select Print Report.

    5. A receipt will print breaking down all the transactions on the terminal.

  • 1. Select Other.

    2. Select Refund.

    3. Enter the refund amount.

    4. Press green enter key.

    5. The terminal will prompt you to present payment.

    6. If payment is present, swipe the customer’s card now. If it’s an EMV chip card, insert it at the bottom of the terminal.

    7. If the payment is not present, key enter in the customer’s credit card information.

    8. Choose Credit or Debit.

    9. The terminal will process the refund.

    10. A receipt will print out confirming the refund.

    11. To print a customer copy, select Yes.

  • 1. Select Sale.

    2. Enter the sale amount.

    3. Press green enter key.

    4. If you accept tips at your business, the terminal will prompt you to enter a tip amount or press Cancel (X) to skip.

    5. The terminal will prompt you to present payment.

    6. If payment is present, swipe the customer’s card now. For an EMV chip card, insert it into the slot at the bottom of the terminal.

    7. If payment is not present, key in the customer’s card information.

    8. Choose Credit or Debit.

    9. The payment will process.

    10. A receipt will print out of the top of the terminal.

    11. To print a customer copy, select Yes.

  • 1. Select Other.

    2. Select Void.

    3. The terminal will prompt you to enter the transaction sequence number from the receipt.

    4. Locate the sequence number on the receipt and enter it in.

    5. Press the green enter key.

    6. The terminal screen will show the transaction you’d like to void.

    7. If the correct transaction, select OK.

    8. The terminal will perform the void.

    9. A receipt confirming the voided transaction will print.

  • 1. Touch the orange tools icon in the top right-hand corner of the touch screen

    2. Touch date/time.

    3. Key in new date in MMDDYYYY format – for example October 28th, 2020 would be 10282020

    4. Press Enter

    5. Enter the current time in military time (ex: 2:30pm would be 143000)

    6. Press Enter

    7. Press the red cancel key until you are back on the home screen to see the updated date and time
